A couple of questions:

- Which version of Ubuntu? 8.04? 8.10? 9.04 beta?

- What program is giving that error? The oooserver init.d script or the
python factory?

- If it's the python factory, could you run it as "./factory -d" to turn
on debugging and post the debug output, the backtrace (if any) and and
errors in the logfile (if any)?
