Hi,
I would like to discuss my ODF-related project at the upcoming Plugtest,
which is an ODF backend for AsciiDoc. I'd like to take this oportunity to
quickly explain what our goals are, where we currently are and what issues
we are dealing with.
So the presentation would basicly have the following structure:
ODF backend for AsciiDoc
- Why using AsciiDoc ?
- Why an ODF backend ?
- Implementation details
- Limitations
- Current issues
The summary for the presentation:
----
ODF backend for AsciiDoc
Collaborating on documentation using complex document formats is not easy.
It doesn't integrate well with a VCS, makes it hard to merge changes to
distributed documents and collaborating on styling and formatting is
impossible. Using a lightweight markup language like AsciiDoc as the
source for your documentation offers a solution, for both content and
styling. Converting AsciiDoc to ODF makes it ready for widespread use and
facilitates conversion to other document formats and printing.
This presentation will introduce this solution, detail the existing
implementation as well as the current limitations and open issues. We will
demonstrate the solution with practical examples.

Kind regards,
