1) Welcome and Introductions

ML welcomed and introduced all.

2) Programme Committee Terms of Reference

The ODF Plugfest Programme Committee (ODFPPC) has been set up to facilitate
the development of the actual programme of future plugfests.

In order to provide continuity and assist organisation, the ODFPPC will take
decisions regarding the programme for future ODF Plugfests as well as the
format and contents of individual plugfests.

ODFPPC will consist of a balanced group of volunteers from specialist
communities, national groups and suppliers who can contribute to the practical
work involved in individual plugfests.

Local Plugfest organisers will have a liaison member during the run-up to
their plugfest. E.g. JD is liaison for the Gouda plugfest on behalf of the
Dutch government.

There will be no formal obligations as such but volunteers are expected to act
in the interests of the Community and to commit the necessary time to the
task. Volunteers should inform other members if they are unable to do so.

ODFPPC members will be appointed for one year at the end of which they will be
asked individually if they wish to renew their membership. The ODFPPC will
function openly in a friendly, respectful and transparent manner.

Upon instalment, members will appoint a chairman and secretary.

3) 7th ODF Plugfest Gouda, 17th - 18th November 2011

ML described the proposed organisation of the plugfest with 1½ days devoted to
technical developments and ½ day (Friday afternoon) dedicated to public
presentations - in areas of best practices, scientific research, developments
in standardisation, new tooling and other relevant developments. All members
are encouraged to equire within their communities for suggestions for the
public programme.

A draft was put online by BH at:

In parallel with the first day of regular ODF plugtesting there will be a
separate session fully devoted to ODF in the context of document workflows,
e.g. software that generates, processes and archives ODF documents. The Dutch
Government has invited the local vendor community, the session will focus on
testing the software for typical use cases such as generating Birth
Certificates and other documents and make sure the software produces clean and
interoperable documents using valid ODF.

JD asked on behalf of the local organisers to make sure people register in
time, and to pass along the invitation to the plugfest to their community.
LSP suggested that we should try to engage ecosystems supporting ODF as much
as possible.

Tasks:

- Members are asked to think about possible presentations as well as scenarios
for the technical part of the plugfest. Please make suggestions to the
plugfest-organisers mailing list (also open to those who are not part of the
  ODFPPC) or through:

  http://plugtest.opendocsociety.org/doku.php?id=plugfests:201111_gouda:info

- Send invitation along and encourage registration through
  http://odfplugfest.org

Next meeting: Thursday 27th October. 14h00 UTC (16h00 CET).
