Michiel (and others), FYI -- John Haug will be taking over my responsibilities regarding document formats as of next week, so going forward he'll be our representative on these calls. We will both be on today's call.

It's been a great experience working with all of you on ODF interoperability, and it's exciting to see how far things have come. I am moving to a different role within Microsoft, where I'll be focused on Azure interoperability.

Michiel, please add johnhaug at microsoft.com to the list, and you can remove me from the list.

Best regards,
Doug

Dear all,

Dear all,

there were 10 candidates for the Programme Committee, with one candiate challenged by another member of the community on grounds of partiality.
We have investigated this challenge, and came to the conclusion that it would not be fair to bar the candidate for this specific committee due to his past relationship with other projects. We have discussed this with the member of the community who put forward his challenge, and he has withdrawn the challenge.

The task for which the PC is responsible (deciding upon the programme of the non-technical part of the plugfest) is very limited in both time and nature and (as per experience) is unlikely to lead to lack of rough consensus among the members.

Since we expect all members of the Programme Committee to behave in a mature and responsible manner anyway, the full list of candidates is accepted and the PC will consist of the following people:

- Alan Bell (OFE)
- Basil Cousins (OFE)
- Patrick Durusau (Individual)
- Roberto Galoppini (Individual)
- Bart Hanssens (Fedict)
- Michiel Leenaars (OpenDoc Society, NLnet foundation)
- Doug Mahugh (Microsoft)
- Jos van den Oever (WebODF, KO GmbH)
- Louis-Suarez Potts
- Rob Weir (IBM)

In addition Joris Dirks from the Netherlands government programme NoiV will be part of the programme committee as representative of the local organisation for the Gouda Plugfest.

The first meeting will be this Thursday 15h00 UTC (17h00 CET), we will send out the details shortly.
