Some colleagues in Italy have created a plugin for OOO (might also work in LO/Symphony)

Perhaps it could be tested how well it follows the latest spec and/or how "vanilla" OOo / LO implementations deal with it
(and Calligra / FreOffice ? I think FreOffice can verify signatures, as tested at the plugfest in Orvieto)
