[ODFPlugtest] interoperability

Bart

Oh dear!! Can this be settled in Granada.

I will be at the FTF conference in Amsterdam this week but not, alas, in
Granada.

I am in a debate about the relationship between the OFE Documents Formats
Task Force chaired by Charlotte Thornby and the Technical/Plugfest ODF
Group. The Task Force is geared to tackle the issue of Document Formats and
promote ODF at Government level across. My view is that there needs to be a
close relationship between the two. Possibly we could consider the TF as
defining the 'What' and the Technical ODF Group as managing the 'How'.
Very possibly, we need a high level specification and road map of the
technical functionalities on which the TF can rely when seeking to influence
the EC and European Governments to support ODF fully.

Thoughts?

Basil

I would welcome your thoughts on this relationship
